The Ambassadors Program is intended to jumpstart the relationship, beginning when a new student chooses ASU-SPA or a current student engages in exploration, preparation, or advancement of public service.  Ambassadors support undergraduate and graduate students through astudent-to-student peer advisory network.  An inaugural cohort of eight student volunteers will welcome and guide first-year, sophomores, and incoming graduate students into the SPA community of experiences, providing personalized interactions over the course of an academic year, helping new students feel connected to SPA, and gaining an understanding of how to leverage ASU’s vast resources for career growth and engagement. The program offers Ambassadors the opportunity to share learned experiences in support of fellow students, foster life-long connections to SPA, and promote the profession of public service. Ambassadors and students learn about the power of cultivating a professional network and how to share their knowledge with others through positions of servant leadership.

Laura Doyle

Hello! My name is Laura Doyle and I'm a senior studying Public Policy and Public Service: Law and Policy in the School of Public Affairs (SPA) and enrolled in Barrett, The Honors College. My time at Arizona State University Phoenix campus has been incredible.  I currently serve as the Student Body President and have been involved in Undergraduate Student Government since my first-year.

Watts College and SPA has helped me grow professionally through courses like PAF 411 and being an Undergraduate Researcher for the Associate Dean Lucio. Going into my senior year I had the privilege to intern for the California State Senate where Watts supported me through the Sacramento Scholars program. These learning and professional development experiences have shaped me into a student who cares about their community, is excited to learn more about our world, and a proud ASU student.

Hi! My name is Katie Spreitzer, and I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I am currently a graduate student at Arizona State University, getting my degrees in Sustainability Solutions and Public Policy. I am passionate about renewable energy, environmental education, and environmental policy making at all levels of government.

Professionally, I work at the ASU College of Global Futures to promote sustainability programs to high school students, and I am also a program organizer for Arizonans for a Clean Economy, a clean energy nonprofit in Arizona. I enjoy walking my dog, Tofu, road tripping to national parks, and eating delicious foods. Ask me about sustainability and sustainable policies and practices, and how you can get connected as an undergraduate or graduate student.

Hello! I’m Diego, and I majored in Public Service and Public Policy. I also currently serve as the Vice President for ASU's ICMA Student Chapter. When I first started at ASU, I had no idea of what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to something meaningful, but I wasn't sure what that would be. Ultimately, I chose to commit my career to the service of others and improving our government so it works for everyone. Now I want to share my network with others. Undergraduate students with interests in public service, or what I like about working for elected council members in local government, reach out!

Hi, I’m Tatyana Johnson.  I’m a full-time technician at Microsoft Data Center and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran balancing work, school, and leadership opportunities at ASU. I’m passionate about public service and social impact, and I plan to attend law school after graduation, with a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Policy. I’m actively involved in the ASU community through Pre-Law Society and volunteer in court-related advocacy and community service supporting vulnerable populations.

I love helping students figure out how to balance school, work, and life while building a strong resume and gaining real-world experience. I’m happy to share resources related to internships, volunteering, networking, and preparing for careers in law, policy, or public service. As a non-traditional and working student, I enjoy supporting students who might feel unsure about navigating college or career paths.  I can also provide guidance for veteran and military connected students, pre-law or law school curious students, and all students interested in careers in public service, policy and government.

I’m Bradley Honer, a U.S. Air Force veteran and junior at Arizona State University’s School of Public Affairs, pursuing both a Bachelor’s in Public Service and Public Policy and a Master of Public Administration concurrently. I serve as a School of Public Affairs Ambassador, to support student engagement, recruitment, and institutional outreach across ASU’s public-service programs.

I also hold leadership roles with ASU’s Next Generation Service Corps and work with the Arizona State Legislature’s Veteran Caucus Advisory Board on veteran-focused policy initiatives. With a background in national-security operations and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, I bring a real-world perspective to public administration and governance. My academic and professional focus centers on veteran advocacy, public accountability, and the effective delivery of government services.

Hi, I’m Katie Ritchie, and I am a junior in Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University, studying Public Policy and Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership. I am passionate about public service, leading initiatives to increase educational access at the Arizona Governor’s Office and as a Student Advisor to Arizona’s State Superintendent. My work extends beyond Arizona, driving national impact. I have completed internship experiences in Washington, D.C., with the U.S. Department of Education and the YMCA of the USA’s Policy and Government Affairs team, supporting federal policy priorities.

At ASU, I represent students as the Vice President of Policy in Undergraduate Student Government-Downtown, Chair of the Civic Engagement Coalition, and an Andrew Goodman Foundation Ambassador. I aim to build pathways for youth civic engagement, driving impact and mentoring young leaders to tackle key issues.
My name is Sean Geraghty and I am an accelerated Master of Public Policy student in the School of Public Affairs. I earned Bachelor’s degrees in Urban Planning and Public Service and Policy: Law and Policy. I work at Valley Metro as a planning intern and with the Morrison Institute as a graduate research fellow. I can offer guidance with navigating double majors, the accelerated master’s program, and finding/preparing for internship or research opportunities.
