SPA Colloquium: Tony Grubesic

Tony Grubesic is professor and director of the Center for Spatial Reasoning and Policy Analytics. He joined ASU from the College of Computing & Informatics at Drexel University where he held appointments in Information Science, Sociology and Civil Engineering, and served as the founding director for the Center for Spatial Analytics and Geocomputation.  His interdisciplinary appointment of College Professor in the College of Public Service & Community Solutions at Arizona State reflects his diverse research and teaching interests, which include; geographic information science, urban health, crime, regional development, environmetrics, public policy evaluation and spatial statistical methods.  Grubesic currently directs the newly formed Center for Spatial Reasoning & Policy Analytics (CSRPA) at ASU.  He is the author of more than 110 research articles and associated presentations.  His research has been funded by the National Academies of Science, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the Institute for Museum and Library Services and many other state and federal agencies. 

Grubesic holds a Ph.D. from Ohio State University.
