Biography

My undergraduate was a BA dual major in Biology, and Environmental Conservation: Climatoloy; I alsoI earned an MSc from Duke University in Ecology. I graduated from ASU's School of Public Affairs with a PhD in Public Administration and Policy in 2017.   My dissertation focused on the role of extreme heat health risk reduction through use of cooling centers in the Maricopa County Heat Relief Network. I used qualitative interviews of managers and organizers of the heat relief network as well as quantitative agent based modeling of the system. I am currently a Senior Air Quality Planner for the Maricopa County Air Quality Department where I work on emissions inventories and special projects related to air pollution emission reductions.
