Marvin Andrews ExperienceWorking with the the Alliance for Innovation has exposed me to some of the most interesting programs and the most innovative cities. With the Alliance, I am not only privileged to work with some of the top academics in public administration, but I also work with active practitioners in public administration. The Alliance has a large and wide network, allowing me to be in contact with city administrators all over the United States and Canada.
The ASU MPA program has a great combination of well respected academics on the subject of public administration and retired practitioners that provide a practical backbone for the program. I feel that my professors always have their doors open for any issues I may have. Professors want their students to succeed, and strike a great balance top grade research and the needs of students.
After graduation, I would like to work in public service, particularly local government. I consider local government the frontline in government service, directly working with residents. Therefore, as an employee with a local government, I help my community and improve lives.
