2013 Municipal Finance Challenge
Arizona State University’s School of Public Affairs presents its second annual conference of the Financial Markets Boot Camp series: the 2013 Municipal Finance Challenge. This national conference will bring together participants and attendees from across the United States to examine the core principles of municipal finance with discussions on priorities, perspectives, deal structures and best practices.

A conference dedicated to public officials, practitioners and academics serving the field and practice of municipal finance and development.
What will be Covered: The key players in municipal finance for economic development, public/private partnerships (P3s) and infrastructure development will:
Provide tools to evaluate financial assumptions
Outline successful finance structures
Address best practices
Discuss safeguards for the community, local taxpayers, and investors through transparency and risk analysis
Who Should Attend: People working in both the public and private sectors are encouraged to attend. Public officials, city managers and finance officers, financial advisors, consultants, bankers, attorneys, academics and more will:
- Talk with the experts
- Learn how to challenge the assumptions by asking the key questions
- Evaluate the risks and rewards of undertaking a municipal finance program
- Learn how to structure deals
