Financial Aid
To be considered for financial assistance from the School of Public Affairs, students submit all application materials by the admisisons deadline. Students receiving awards are notified by late March or early April. To apply for a graduate research/teaching assistantship - please submit the Application for Graduate Research / Teaching Assistantship to the School of Public Affairs.
Many students supplement the cost of a graduate education with student loans. Graduate students seeking loans or financial aid counseling should contact the main ASU Student Financial Aid Office in the Student Services building at (480) 965-3355 or by email to financialaid@asu.edu.
International students are not eligible for federal student loans. However, they can apply for graduate assistantships and graduate academic and tuition scholarships from the department. Third-Party Sponsorships for Tuition and Billing
ASU will bill approved governmental / third-party sponsors for student tuition and fees (including books and supplies). Qualifying sponsors include approved corporations, vocational rehabilitation offices, government agencies and embassies located in the United States. More information.
To arrange for ASU to bill your sponsor, a Financial Guarantee Letter must be submitted to the Student Accounts office.
Fall and Spring Terms: The Financial Guarantee Letter must be received prior to the University's 35th day of the semester. Submit Financial Guarantee Letters prior to the applicable tuition due date to avoid automatic enrollment in the Tuition Installment Plan.
Summer and Winter Terms: The Financial Guarantee Letter must be received prior to end of the first week of classes.
